We are starting the new year strong with a new Site Manager, Mats Carlsund. Mats has a background as a business developer and has experience working both operationally and strategically. Mats has worked in several different industries, most recently coming from a steel partition manufacturer in Örebro. We asked Mats what he is most looking forward to about working at Kompressorteknik and what his role as Site Manager entails.
To begin with, how does it feel?
“I am very pleased and excited to begin my position as Site Manager for Kompressorteknik in Norrköping. I’m moving from one manufacturing industry to another; from steel partition manufacturing to refrigeration compressor renovation, which will be very exciting. I hope to contribute through my operational leadership in manufacturing and sales.”
As a leader, I am passionate about developing the organization both as a whole and at the individual level. I work actively to achieve set goals, see myself as part of the team, and am well aware that it is the team that delivers the performance.
What are you most looking forward to about working at Kompressorteknik?
“It will be fantastic to drive the business forward, and I am happy and proud to have been given this trust. Through great commitment, clear direction, and effective working methods, Kompressorteknik has achieved excellent results in recent years. We will continue to develop and refine this to meet the future.”
What made you want to work at Kompressorteknik?
“I was particularly struck by their somewhat bold statement that ‘When a refrigeration compressor has been with us, it’s as good as or better than new.’”
What do you do when you are not working?
“I enjoy racket sports, tennis in particular. During winter, I enjoy skiing, especially downhill. Besides that, I support my children in their sporting activities.”
